It is easy to forget to care or pray for those that are not near us, out of sight, out of mind, right? But as a family of believers we are called to care for our fellow brothers and sisters, regardless of the their distance. And many times we need promptings or a reminder to remember those in need.

Yes, there’s not a lot we can do in playing the hero figure and save those that are being physically persecuted for their faith, out in the world. But there is one thing we can do to help, and that is to pray.

The International Day of Prayer for the persecuted church will be hosting an event at the Selly Oak Eilm Church Centre tomorrow night. It’ll be a good opportunity to join other brothers and sisters united in prayer to pray for the family members suffering. This can be a prompting we all need to pray and remember those in desperate need.
Will you join us in prayer?

When: Wednesday 6th November 2013
Time: 7:30pm
Where: Selly Oak Elim Church Centre
Exeter Road, Selly Oak, B29 6EU

Looking forward to seeing you there.
