40 Days of Faith

“Many things about tomorrow
I don’t seem to understand
But I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand”

It was a lovely way to end his testimony account, this brother in Christ, reciting from a song verse from the song “I know who holds tomorrow.”
As a result this one verse has stuck with me since then. And it’s helped remind me:
Tomorrow, we don’t know what will happen.
Tomorrow things might change.
Tomorrow might be good or it might be bad.
Tomorrow is a new day yes.
But tomorrow God is there.
After all, He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. And with this knowledge that our God is there tomorrow, I really can trust God wholeheartedly, and have faith in Him.

Church Lunch Sunday!

Church Lunch Sunday this coming Sunday!
We’re trying to be more creative in using the AUEA space since we moved in. And following on from Ben Frearson’s message this past Sunday on getting to know other church people that you may not have spoken to before [which you can catchup and listen to here]…  we’re introducing this thing called “Church Lunch Sunday”! It’s our first time, so please join us this Sunday after service downstairs at AUEA for a chance to have lunch, chat and share with each other! Tea and coffee will be available too. And there are rumours of baked goods.

Connecting in a community

It’s been 2 months since we’ve moved into AUEA. A lot has happened since we moved in!
But today when I saw Chris (our lovely building manager who helps open up and set up the place for us… he’s usually sat in reception ready to help when most people come for service! yes that guy!) I said to him animatedly “You were in my dream recently!” “Oh, I hope it was good!”and I proceeded to explain to him, I was just walking into church on Sunday, and I saw him and a few others having a board-room style meeting in their reception area, and he laughed. I said “It’s official. If it’s in my subconscious now, that we’re here for church each week… It’s official! We’ve moved in!” and then we both laughed and went off our merry ways to do the tasks we were meant to do.
