We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honour beside God’s throne.

Turn from your selfish ways means to look to Jesus.
Focus on Him.
Desire to be like him.
Want to be more like Christ.

We’re all so focused on our own needs, our own situation, that we lose sight of Christ.
Jesus what do you want?

Jesus what do you desire from my life?
Jesus who do you want me to love?
