Continuing our tradition for years, we will be having the GREAT BIG TEA PARTY at BCEC again – this year the event falls on 6th June 2010! We will be raising money for the Christian charity ‘OPEN DOORS’, which is an international ministry that supports and serves persecuted Christians and Churches worldwide
Big or small, a Great Big Tea Party will provide persecuted believers with much needed encouragement and support. Not only through prayer, but through your action and the valuable protection and assistance the Open Doors in-country teams can provide. In 2009 in Iran, at least 85 Christians were arrested and a number of house churches closed. Despite this the church is growing and the support you raise will be sent to help oppressed Christians in Iran.
The tea party will be happening after normal Sunday service on 6th June, at upstairs of the church. We will be having cakes, light snacks and drinks, as well as a collection of £2 per person, during the tea party. Brothers and sisters you are all challenged to bake something to share! Any other forms of volunteering/help/donation will be much appreciated too!
It was really succesful last year and let’s make it even better this year – hopefully between all of us we can make the GREAT BIG TEA PARTY a fun and engaging event for everyone! We hope to bring unity upon our Church and blessings to our brothers and sisters just like Christ has blessed us.
