Family Retreat 2020

As our church has grown over the years, so has the number of families. And while developing a Kingdom Vision is important for our entire congregation, there are unique challenges and responsibilities in bringing up children who know and love Jesus.

Joshua 24:15 says as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord. Despite the idol worship and secular practices that enticed the Israelites, Joshua was committed to bringing up his family with God at the centre.

At this year’s retreat, we hope to draw our families together to spend some time tackling some of the challenges we face as parents, husbands and wives, sons and daughters, and brothers and sisters.

What to expect

We want this retreat to be fun for all ages, so there will be sessions tailored specifically for babies, children, teens, and adults.

We also want there to be time to spend together as families, so expect plenty of free time to spend together as a family, games, family challenges, and outdoor activities provided by our venue.

Venue

The retreat will be held at the Pioneer Centre in Kidderminster, around 30 miles from Birmingham City Centre. Each family will have the use of a private room with ensuite facilities.

During the weekend we will have access to a range of high-and low-adrenaline activities provided by the staff at the centre, such as abseiling and archery.
